Let him cast the first stone at her.

Then they reminded Jesus that, adultery was punishable by stoning under Mosaic law, and they challenged him to judge the woman so that they might then accuse him of disobeying the law. Jesus thought for a moment and then replied,

“He that is without sin among you,
let him cast the first stone at her.”
                                    ~ 'Jesus Christ ’ in John 8:7

It is natural for people seek to rise above their peers. To be viewed as better than their peers.
There are two ways to achieve this status.

First by our merit and efforts, rise higher than others, this requires integrity, sincerity and considerable effort and time.
The second way, is to push people to below us, to criticise, condemn and trample them. This requires little effort and hardly any time. This is what many people prefer.
This is why we are reluctant to see good in others, for then they seem to rise higher than us and that cannot be good for our fragile ego.

We like to judge and condemn. Not because it is the right thing to do , but it makes us believe that we are 'holier and better than thou'.

In fact everyone is a sinner.
With so many rules and dos and don'ts imposed on us by priests, society and governments, becoming a sinner is inevitable. So no matter what we do, in our minds we are convinced that we are sinners, therefore we are plagued by guilt, and live with the constant fear of being discovered.

What else could explain our eagerness to cast stones and accusations at others, even destroying their lives and reputation and feel pretty smug about it? We know that as long as the crowds are busy condemning others, we sinners can remain undiscovered.

Listen to the masters, not those who claim to speak and write in their name.
It is only a master Like Jesus, who so beautifully explains by his simple words and deeds, the true meaning of love, humanity and forgiveness.

When we love, we see little or no faults. When we forgive, we remove from our hearts and minds all negativity. Both these qualities which Jesus repeatedly stressed upon are essential for peace, and for humanity to survive and evolve.

On this Christmas day I wish you all good health and this message of Jesus which is for the happiness of all mankind.
